Dr Rebekah Eglinton - Consultant Clinical Psychologist

I’m a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience in mental health, including my recent role as Chief Psychologist and Head of Support and Safeguarding at the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA).

I specialise in trauma informed practice, working with organisations to improve how they engage with people affected by trauma. Through expert consultancy, bespoke training, and supervision, I help build systems that foster trust, reduce retraumatisation, and support staff wellbeing.

I am a Registrant Council Member and Non-Executive Director at the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) where I also sit on the Education and Training Committee. I’m a member of the British Psychological Society and serve on the Faculty of Leadership and Management Committee. In addition, I’m an Honorary Fellow at the University of Essex and an Associate Non-Executive Director at Devon Partnership NHS Trust, a specialist mental health trust, where I sit on the Quality Assurance Governance Committee, Mental Health Act & Mental Capacity Act Scrutiny Committee and Audit Committee.
